Before I became enamored with watercolor, I used to paint exclusively in acrylic. While I was back visiting my folks this past 4th of July, I found a color copy of a painting I did for a family friend over ten years ago. Wine bottles and agaves were my thing back in 2000 even though wine clearly doesn’t come from agaves. I just really got hung up on agaves after spending a few months studying in Mexico and after I got back, I was really into painting them and would pair them with whatever I thought worked.
Anyway, I got a kick out of finding one of my old-school pieces and just wanted to share.

Very nice. It’s always fun to dig thru the crates to retrieve old classics. As always, I admire your ability to paint glass.
Thanks, Elle!
