I was on the tail end of surviving a week from hell. In my grumpy stupor I glanced over and saw two adorable chocolate girls sitting quietly together on the C train in Brooklyn. They looked classic, one of them sporting braids that took me back to my days as a little girl of braids and barrettes, while the other gazed off in the distance, seemingly deep in thought. In that moment I envied the assumed simplicity of their lives as young girls with their whole lives ahead of them, hopefully carefree of all the weights that adulthood brings. Maybe I was hoping to steal a little of that for myself when I took this picture.

Ahhhh. How sweet it is to be young and free to be!
I know what you mean! The older I get the more often I find myself thinking about my childhood and wondering if today’s children will enjoy their in incense for a long as possible before the world begins to challenge everything they know. Lovely picture
Elle: Indeed how sweet it is….
Vanessa: It’s hard to believe that I was in such a rush to grow up be an adult. You never appreciate what you had until it’s gone.
